New Year, New You: Tips and tricks to make your resolution stick


NEW-YEARS-RESOLUTIONS-calendarTime to ring in the new year with a new resolution! If you’re anything like me, its often hard to make your resolution last more than a few weeks. Here are a few tips and tricks to help make your resolution stick.

Tip 1: Make sure your resolution is reasonable. Whether you want to lose weight or simply redecorate your home you need to make sure your goal is attainable! Don’t be afraid to start out small. For example; rather than making a goal to lose 50 lbs, set a goal to lose 10lbs. Once that goal is reached, reevaluate and set a new goal for another 10-15 lbs.

Tip 2: Make sure your resolution is affordable. Before purchasing the items or memberships you’ll need make sure it’s within your budget. If it’s too expensive chances are you will end up cancelling or returning the items halfway through the year.

Tip 3: Find others with the same goals to motivate you. A support system is an awesome way to help you stay on track. Surrounding yourself with individuals who have like minded goals will allow you to ask questions and address your concerns/frustrations with people who are going through the same struggles as you.
